Art in the fall 2019
AP art students participated in a portfolio review offered by Savannah School of Art and Design after an extensive presentation about the art programs within the school and career oppurtunuties after degree completion.

The Art Department hosted many Shannondell residents who belong to the Methacton School District Committee. AP students took the residents on tours of the various art classrooms and held informal discussions about their own portfolio work as well as their future plans in the arts.

Methacton AP students attended the National Portfolio Day event held at the PA Convention Center in October. Many Methacton art students were accetpted into art progams immediatley after admission representatives reviewed their art created in Methacton High School.

The Methacton School District Art Department K-12 participated in the annual Celebration of the Arts event in January. The COA is a music concert and art show for the public for the purpose of raising money for a student who is planning on continuing in his/her music career and a student who is planning on studying for a visual arts career. Hundreds of dollars were raised this year.
