I chose to take AP art because I have always loved to create art. In school art was always one of my favorite classes. While other classes were interesting, the art classes I took were captivating. They were fascinating to me. After taking all of those classes I was inspired to create my own art. Because of that when I got to the highschool I decided to take studio art 1 and I loved it and continued to take art classes throughout the rest of highschool which has lead me to AP art

I am currently enrolled in the Art program at methacton.  I am an AP art student and in many of their ceramics programs including ceramics 1 and wheel thrown ceramics. The program here is extraordinary. All of the art staff are amazing at what they do. They have helped me advance my understanding of art everyday through the teaching of new artistic techniques and different mediums.  With the help of the art teachers and fellow ap art students I have been able to grow as a person and as an artist.

In the future I will not be majoring in art in college but I will continue to create art as much as I can. Even though it is not going to be a career for me, art has positively influenced my life and I'm thankful for all the opportunities that have been given to me because of it.
