human connections with the seasons

“How do I portray emotional snapshots through the seasons of the year” is the sustained investigation for my AP Studio Art year (2019-2020). These snapshots tend to be portraits or include a portrait of some sort in the pieces. Though I will make my concentration more specific if I only include portraits and don’t include other forms of emotion as well. How I exactly portray emotion is I concentrate on how the face moves in the picture, body movement, etc. Color and value also play a huge role in making a piece seem sad compared to a happier piece. Why I say value as well is because one can use a blue color scheme for example and it still is happy depending on how the blue is executed. Emotions play a huge part in my daily life and art. Art is a way for me to express how I feel and I tend to feel the emotion I’m drawing.  Emotion seems to be a problem in daily life because some do not know how to portray their emotions without being “annoying” myself included. But through art I feel a safe space where that is okay and I can fully represent how I feel whether that be happiness or even sadness I hope through expression, color, and body language I can fully portray that emotion.
